chapter 51
Nia's pov
I was in school really early and Mason told me he had a surprise for me and meet him by my locker. He is taking forever. I been here for so long. I'm about to leave.
I got up and turned the corner. I saw Mason and Cindy kissing. Mason had guilt in his eyes. Cindy looked at me and smiled.
Cindy said "I told you I would date Mson, next maybe Hayes, maybe even Ryan." I had tears in my eyes and I just started to walk away. Mason was the only one who was there for me all the time.
Mason tried to grab me and explain. I pushed him off and kept in walking. I don't care.
I went to my first period class. I sat down and put my head down. Hayes came in and said "Hey Nia, what's up, what did you give Mason?" I lowly said "what?"
Hayes said "he left early because he said you wanted to give him a surprise." I said "no I didn't he told me that." Hayes said "ohh, but when you upset?" I said "I saw him kissing Cindy."
Hayes said"he hates her why would he kiss her?" I said "what do you mean hayes?" Hayes said " Cindy was always all over him and his friends and he thought she was a slut and he hated her after she fought you."
I said "well I don't know but I saw him kissing her with my own two eyes." Hayes said "well after lunch we can go to your house, we have a half a day." I said "fine."
"Where is Ryan?" I asked. Ryan has this class with us. Hayes said "he is coming but his hair is a mess."
A few minutes into the class. Ryan came in and say on the other side of me. He looked good. His hair was in an little afro. Normally he has his hair braided.
I said "you look cute Ryan." Ryan said "thanks." I said "why didn't you braid your hair?" Ryan said "I was too tired to do it last night." I said "oh but it looks fine."
Ryan said "thanks."
We did our work and class was over. I had gym with Ryan next period. We left the class and Mason was there. Mason said "Nia can you please let me explain." I didn't say anything. I acted like I didn't even hear him.
I kept on walking. Soon Hayes and Ryan caught up with me.
Hayes said "Nia, you know he loves you, why you doing this?" Ryan said "I don't wanna know, leave me out of it."
Ryan walked up and started ttalking to some girl he liked.
Hayes said "he loves you Nia." I said "and he still kissed the girl that doesn't me." Hayes said " Nia let him explain it was nothing like that." I yelled "Hayes how are you gonna tell me, I SAW HIM KISS HER WITH MY OWN TWO FUCKING EYES!!!!"
Hayes said "just let him explain Nia."
*skip to lunch*
I been mad all day today. Every since this morning.
I had my head down on the table. I looked across from my table and saw Mason. He looked like he was crying. He looked so sad. He looked at me and he had guilt in his eyes, he was gonna cry again. I can see it.
I turned my head the other way not looking at him no more. I don't like seeing people cry any way.
Hayes came back to the table. Hayes said "Nia go to talk to him before I do." I angriely said "go ahead, I'm not talking to him."
Hayes shut up and left. Ryan said "okay, I wanna know what happens now, tell me Nia." I sighed and said "I saw him kissing Cindy."
Ryan said "aww I'm sorry, there probably is some reason to it, he loves you Nia honestly, he talks about you all the time even when he is mad at you."
I thought about it. Mason still down talk to me even when he was mad at me. He would come over and just lay next to me because he knew that I didn't like being by myself all day.
I said "why would he kiss her?" Ryan said "okay. I'm gonna tell you something, do not tell any of the others." I nodded my head.
Ryan said "well everyone knows Cindy is a slut and does stuff with people's boyfriends and crap, but after you fought her, she didn't get suspended and was telling people she beat you up, and she was trying to go out with Hayes, I heard her telling her friend that the only way she can really get you back was by dating one of us since we are your closet friends and Hayes is your cousin I mean, well She said it would be easier to get to Mason,since he is nicer then all of us and isn't gonna be rude and push her away and crap, but Mason and you was set up, I don't need to know how, Cindy can get away with anything she wants to,If she got caught she set it up."
I wanted to cry when he was done telling me all that. I said "but that was last year when I fought her." Ryan said "yea remeber you couldn't come back to school until the next year though." I nodded my head slowly.
I dropped a couple of tears. Ryan said "don't cry about it Nia, then Cindy is gonna win, just talk to him later." I nodded my head.
I laid my head back down. Hayes came back to the table. Hayes said "he is coming over after lunch since its half a day."
I looked up a little. Hayes changed seat and sat next to me. He put his arm around me. I leaned on him.
I love Hayes but hate him. He is my cousin. He is 15 and so childish. But is trying to help me.
The school day was over.
We all left. We got home.
Jack was on the couch. Jack turned around and said "Nia what's wrong?" I shook my head. Jack said "come here."
Mason,Ryan and Hayes all went in Hayes old room..
I went to Jack. Jack said "how was school today?" I lowly said " fine." Jack said "so why you talking like that?" I said "no reason." Jack said "what happened today baby?" I shook my head and said "nothing."
Jack said "baby your eyes are red like you was crying all day." I said "smoke got in my eye." Jack said "what smoke?" I said "from a truck."
Jack said "baby stop really what happened?" I said "I'm fine." Jack said "fine, go ahead upstairs baby, Cameron is coming over later."
I went upstairs in my room a little happy Cameron is coming. I love Cameron so much.
I laid on my bed crying. Them someone came in. I turned around and it was Mason. Mason eyes was red like mine.
Mason started crying. I got up and hugged him. My head was in his chest.
Mason cried " i got a text for,you saying to meet you by your locker before school starts, and that you had a surprise for me, I went and you wasn't there but Cindy was and she came up to me and kept on saying she likes me and crap, I told her to back up from me then she kissed me, and then you turned the corner."
I started crying. I cried "I got a text too saying the same thing."
Mason sat on the bed and put me on his lap. Mason said "I'm so so sorry." I said "I'm sorry, I should've listened to you." Mason hugged me so tightly.
Mason kissed my lips. He said " I love you." I said " I 💘 love you too."
I still had tears in my eyes. So did Mason. I started wiping his tears. I hate seeing him sad. He is such a happy person. I like it when he is being goofy or smiling or making me smile.
I was done. Mason eyes was pink now, they wasn't red no more. I said " I hate seeing you sad, you are always so happy, I hate it when you cry." Mason said "I hate it when you cry to, your not supposed to cry." I giggled lowly and said "why not? Mason said "because then you can laugh."
Mason started sniffling his nose. I said "eww." Mason said "shut up." I said "I love you dirty." Mason said "I love you too cry baby."
Mason said " I'm gonna go back in Hayes room, I wanna play the game." I nodded my head. Mason was about to leave but came back and said " I forgot something." I said "what?"
Mason kissed my lips. He said "forgot to give my baby a kiss." I giggled. Mason left.
I went downstairs. Jack said "Nia come here."
I sat down next to Jack. Jack said "so tomorrow two kids are gonna come and stay for 2 weeks." I said "why?" Jack said "I am a foster parent still I guess and they asked me and I said sure it's only for 2 weeks it's okay."
I don't want any other kids here. iN Jack said "they are sibling, one little girl Ashley she is 6 and a boy Adam he is 15."
I really don't want them here now. Its supposed to be just me and Jack not me Jack and Ashly and Adam.
I angriely said "okay." Jack said "is there a problem?" I said "no."
If I told Jack He would say I'm being selfish.
Jack said "Cameron is here, outside.",
I got up and ran outside. I saw him getting out his car. I ran to him and jumped on him. Cameron said "hey baby." Cameron walked while carrying me.
Cameron kissed my cheek.
Jack said "Nia, you are to big for am that." I said "no." Cameron said "leave her alone."
Cameron sat down.
Jack said "and Nia the adoption place sent your baby pictures." I said "they send those?" Jack said "yea look."
I know they are different kids but act like it's the same girl at the top.
Cameron said "aww you was so cute." I thought it was ugly. I thought I looked ugly now. I didn't say anything about it. I want Jack to stop talking about it I. I hate it when he brings up the adoption place. They all hated me there. They all beat me.
Jack said "it is late no Nia go to bed." I sighed and said "fine."
I went upstairs in my room and changed my clothes and watched tv until I fell asleep.
