Chapter 4
Jack's pov
I woke up and I heard someone throwing up. Nia was gone. I quickly got up and ran in my bathroom. I saw Nia throwing up in the toilet. I got on my knees and said "awww sweetie are you okay?" Nia cried "no my stomach hurts really bad." I said " sweetie I have some medicine for you downstairs, I'm gonna be right back."
I ran downstairs and went threw all the cabinets. Cameron said " Jack relax what's wrong?" I said "Nia is sick,she is throwing up." Cameron said "it's okay it's probably just a small stomach ache." I relaxed and got the medicine and went back upstairs
I went in my room and in my bathroom. Nia was rinsing her face. I said "sweetie,here take two of these." Nia took some of the medicine.
I said "it's okay it's just a little stomach ache. You probably ate something bad." Nia cried "do I still have to go to the doctors?" I said "you really have to go now." Nia whined.
I looked at my phone. Her appointment was in an hour. I said "sweetie you have to go take a shower." Nia nodded her head. She left and I sat on my bed.
The second week I have her and she gets sick. I feel so bad. I got up and went in my bathroom. I rinsed my face. I striped my clothes and got in the shower.
Nia's pov
I got in the shower and it made me feel so much better. I washed my hair. I haven't washed it in a month. I didn't even really washed my hair I just wet it. I need to get shampoo and conditioner. I got out the bathroom and put my wet hair in a ponytail.
I put a towel over my head. I locked my door. I put on a bra and underwear. I put on blue shorts and a red shirt. And my white nike Air Force ones. I got my phone and went downstairs.
I sat on the couch. Hayes and Ryan came downstairs. They was playing around. Hayes sat next to me and said "Jack gave you your phone?" I nodded my head.
Hayes said "let me give you my number." I have Hayes my phone so he can put his number in. Ryan said "mine too." Hayes me my phone and I gave my phone to Ryan. Ryan was done and gave me back my phone.
Hayes and Ryan started playing around again and went in the kitchen. Cameron and Nash came downstairs.
Cameron said " hey baby." I waved. Nash said " aren't you and Jack supposed to go to the doctor?" I said " I'm waiting for him." Nash said " he takes mad long." I laughed.
Cameron and Nash looked shocked. Caneron said "that's the first time I heard you laughed the whole time you was here. " I smiled and chuckled. Cameron said "that's the first time I seen you smile." Nash said " she a happy kid man."
Nash picked me up and ran around the living room. I was laughing. Nash was too. Nash stopped. I felt dizzy. Nash put me down and I fell to the floor.
Cameron and Nash laughed. Cameron helped me up and put me on the couch. Cameron said "leave her alone." I said " yea leave me alone." Nash said " fine baby." Nash stuck his tounge out at me. I smiled. Nash kissed the top of my head.
Jack cane downstairs. Jack said " come in Nia we gonna be late." I followed Jack out the door. I got in the passenger seat. I put my seatbelt on.
Jack started driving. I just looked around.
We finally got there. Jack said "come on sweetie." I got out the car and closed the door and went inside the building.
We sat down. Once we sat down they called my name. "Nia Glinskey." Jack stood up and I stood up slowly. We went in the back.
Jack wrapped his arm around my shoulder and said "relax sweetie." I nodded my head.
I was still kinda nervous. The lady told me to take my shoes off and to sit in the table thingy.
I started shaking. I'm scared. Last time I was in a doctors office my mom and dad was here and they beat me and when the doctor saw he jumped in.
Jack sad in a rolly chair and rolled over to me. Jack held my leg and said " sweetie it is okay,no one is gonna get you." I nodded my head.
The nurse came back in the room. She measured me and told me that I was 5'5. I got taller. When I first came to live with Jack I was 5'3. The nurse checked my ears and my eyes.
She made me lay on my back and she checked my breathing.
She said " I'm going to have to take some blood. And you need the Flu shoot and a lead test." Jack said "wait why does she need a lead test she's 13 not 3?!"
The nurse said "she been in dietetics foster homes and needs to be tested all foster kids do." Jack nodded his head. The nurse left .
Jack came to me. I cried " I don't wanna get three shots." Jack said " I know sweetie but how about this, if you let the nurse do what she as to do we can go out and eat okay?" I nodded my head.
Jack said "sweetie,it's gonna be okay,first she's gonna take blood." Jack was right beside me. The nurse caw back in.
She put a big fat rubber band around my arm. Then she put alcohol on the spot she was gonna take blood from. She put a needle in my arm. It hurt so much. Jack held on to my hand.
It hurt as she took out the blood. I wanted to cry. She was done and pulled the needle out and put a bandaid on it.
*skip other shots.*
We left the doctor office. Jack wrapped his arm around me and said "where you wanna go sweetie?" I said " hmmm the Chines buffet." Jack laughed and said " okay but let's get the guys first okay?" I nodded my head okay.
We started driving. I said " since school is almost over,and I just started,will I get left back?" Jack said "what do you mean you just started school?" I said "I though they told you... I wasn't going to school when I was in the foster home." Jack said " why not?" I said " they didn't like me."
Jack said "well if you do good for the rest of the year,you should be fine." I said " I might get left back."
We got stuck in traffic in the high way.
Jack said " no aren't Sweetie you are smart enough to pass all your classes." I said " I just started going to school 2 weeks ago." Jack said " I don't care when you started going to school, what I do know is that you are smart enough to pass all of your classes."
There was no more traffic and Jack started going fast. We got to the house really fast.
Jack said " wanna come inside or wait outside?" I said "I wanna come."
Jack ran inside. I ran after him.
We went inside. Cameron and Nash was watching tv. I flipped over the couch and sat next to them. I said "where is JJ I haven't seen him in a while?" Cameron said "actually he is upstairs." I said " I wanna see him." Jack said "hurry and ask Hayes and Ryan if they wanna come." I said "okay."
I went to JJ room. He was putting his shirt on. I said "Jack!!" Jack turned around and smiled. I hugged him. I said "wanna come with us to the Chinese buffet?" Jack said "sure."
I said " okay I have to ask Hayes now." Jack said" okay I'm gonna get ready."
I went in Hayes room and he was getting dress.
I said " Hayes wanna go to the Chinese buffet?" Hayes angrily said "NO!" I said " are you okay?" Hayes said " Nia honestly Shut THE FUCK UP!!!" I looked at Hayes. He looked so mad. I lowly said "I'm sorry." Hayes slapped me. Right across my face.
I looked at him ready to cry. I dropped a couple of tears. Hayes realized what he did and hugged me.. I started crying. I pushed him off of me. I ran downstairs and he followed me.
Jack and everyone saw me. They Ll was looking at us run downstairs. I was still crying. Jack said "what's wrong? What are y'all doing?" Nash said "why are y'all running around?" Cameron laughed a little and said " stop playing lets go."
I said " I'm not playing,Hayes slapped me."
Nash yelled "you slapped her!?!?!" Hayes said " I didn't mean it." Nash said " it doesn't matter!!!" Nash slapped Hayes in his face. He didn't hit him hard.
Hayes said " I didn't mean to hit her." Nash said " I don't care Hayes, apologize."
Hayes said " I'm sorry Nia." I didn't say anything to him. Nash said " we aren't going with you guys to the buffet, we are going to our grandparents house."
Jack pulled me over to him and wiped my tears with his sleeve. Jack said " you still wanna go?" I nodded my head yes.
Only JJ and Jack was coming. Cameron was going to see his sister.
We left and I got in the back. Jack started driving.
I pulled out my phone and started playing on it. Soon we was at the buffet.
*skip the buffet nothing happens*
By the time we got back home it was late and Jack had to get ready for his date with Alison.
I think JJ is watching me I don't know. I don't think Cameron is even here. I mean it doesn't even matter because I'm tired and I wanna go to bed.
I went up to my room and watched a movie and fell asleep to it.
