Chapter Twenty-Six.
Tyler's POV:
"Well wasn't that just the cutest thing?"
I look straight over Alaynah's shoulder, not noticing anyone. I gently let Alaynah out of my grasp but close enough to grab at any time. She's looking at me with her eyebrows pushing closer as the confusion in her face gets worse as she turns herself to see what I am staring at.
"Tyler? Are you okay?" Alaynah turns to face me, but she acts like she has never met me before.
"Oh look. She's scared Tyler, what are you going to do? Dear oh dear, how to end her confusion and absolute terror?" The voice keeps talking to me and I am beginning to not like it.
"Who are you? Show yourself fool!" I yell, praying it's enough for this voice to let me put a face on it.
"Look at her Tyler, she literally thinks you have gone mad."
Alaynah's POV:
I think he's gone insane.
Completely insane.
What the hell can happen in such a a short amount of time?
"Alaynah... Can you not hear the voice?" Tyler seems really sure that he is hearing something that I am not.
I just stare blankly at him. Past him.. Through him. Literally. I can't quite figure out why Tyler's dad could be the problem to Tyler hearing things.
Tyler's POV:
"Here, does this solve you problem kiddo?" The voice sounded not so cheery and sarcastic anymore, more dull and bored.
"Alaynah love, can you hear me now?" The voice pointed directly at Alaynah.
"Yes, yes I can hear you now Mr. Nelson."
"Mr. Who?" Tyler faces and questions me.
"Nelson. Mr. Nelson, your father." Alaynah confuses me greatly.
"How can you tell?" I ask her.
"I can see him. Can't you?" She shakes her head slightly as she moves it downward.
"If i'm being honest.. No. No I don't see him."
