Chapter Five.
'C'mon you can do this, don't give up on me now legs.' I was mentally motivating myself to actually get to school before I collapse.
My legs are starting to give way when I stumble and trip over my own feet.
"Oh shit!" I hear a worried voice, a boy's voice.
I twist on my bottom to face the boy running over to me. I lift onto one knee, he offers to help me up. I refuse and pull myself all the way up.
I start to fall again, this time not colliding with the ground. A pair of arms wrap around me and help me keep stable.
"Heh. Thankyou." I mumble as I stumble out of his grasp and face him.
He did not say anything, he just stared behind me. Well, at least I think he was staring behing me.
"I'm sorry.. Uh. I was just staring." He bit his lip.
"May I ask what you were staring at?" I raise my eyebrow slightly.
"Ummm. Someone beautiful ." He runs his fingers through his hair.
I feel red crawling up my cheeks, I crack a small smile. Why was I so cheeky?
I turn around and look around, no one in sight.
"Ugh. There is no one in sight, you must be seeing things." I wink and nudge him in the arm.
"Haha. Not funny. You're absolutely stunning." His fingers play in his hair again.
We both laugh and he offers me a ride in his gorgeous matte black ute. I accpet. He opens the passanger door and gestures me to get in.
After sitting in silence for about five minutes, I glance at the radio.
Wouldn't hurt to put some music on top of this awkward as fuck silence would it? I shrug and twist the nobb, turning the radio up.
"Ooo! I love this song!" I squel.
"So do I." He smiles and taps his fingers on the wheel to the beat.
We sing through the whole song and then I realised we're at school already.
I opened the door and I jump out of the car. I start walking towards the school.
"Oi! I didn't catch your name!" I turn and realise that it's the boy.
"Alaynah!" I yell back.
"Tyler!" he bows and I just break out in a two second laughter.
I turn back towards the massive school.
They didn't mention that I was going to get lost!
